SAFETY FIRST

Safety Guidelines & Rules

Follow the Mahout

The Mahout (elephant rider/driver) knows the elephant's behavior perfectly. Always follow his instructions during the safari.

Maintain Absolute Silence

Avoid shouting or making sudden noises. Elephants are sensitive to loud sounds, and high volume may disturb other forest animals.

No Feeding or Touching

Do not attempt to feed, touch, or tease the elephants or any other wild animals encountered during the ride.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can sit on one elephant?

A maximum of 4 adults are allowed to ride on a single elephant. This limit is strictly enforced for the comfort and safety of the animal.

Can we book elephant safaris on the spot?

Since the number of elephants is very limited and permits are strictly capped, on-the-spot booking is highly difficult. We strongly advise booking at least 30 days in advance.

Is Elephant Safari safe for senior citizens and children?

Yes, it is generally very safe. The wooden/metal saddle (Howdah) is securely mounted. However, climbing up/down requires moderate mobility. Children under 5 years must sit on their parents' lap.
